Today my heart goes out to all those residing in the land of the rising sun.
Japan's earthquake recorded 8.8 on the Richter scale - one of it's highest on Friday 3rd March 2011 at 2.46pm.
So far 142 have been confirmed dead and many more missing threaten to increase the death toll to a historical high for Japan. The more than 7.3m high tsunami was also a cause of panic for the nation.
Fires engulfed high rise buildings, taking lives, and radioactive plants are proving to be a hazard as nearby residents are forced to evacuate their homes for fear of the worst-case-scenario - a radioactive leak.
The after shock scaling at about 7.0 on the Richter scale will continue to leave Fukushima in unrest for the next couple of weeks if not months.
Nations continue to gather in support to help Japan bring the pieces back together.
However, it's sad to think that it takes natural disasters and the cost of lost lives to bring nations together. A pity.
